Where is the best tropical vacation spot for 10 days in July?

My boyfriend and I live in San Francisco and would like to plan a tropical, relaxing vacation in July. We want to go somewhere amazing w/big amazing beds, great beaches, good food, and fantastic pools and spa. We really need a break from work and the grind!! We have discussed Costa Rica, Mexico and Turks and Caicos...and can't come to a conclusion - we are also wary of the rainy season in Costa Rica.....Any suggestions???

Come on be adventureous.. How about a really tropical place. Palau or islands in French Polynesia. Or Malayasia is nice. Then there is Seychelles off of Africa, which I’ve heard is the most beautiful place in the World. Expand your horizons and think more internationally instead of these favorite American destinations that you mentioned.

PS..dont go to Cancun…if your think that direction try Belize or Playa Del Carmen Mexico

With the upcoming hurricane season, they predict another bad one, I would stay out of that zone. Plus it is real hot in carribean at that time. Better rates though, so it may be worth the risk. Look into Bonaire or Aruba, they are south of hurricane belt. Or Puerto Vallarta Mexico, it is real nice, and less dangerous for hurricanes. Hawaii would be an excellent choice as well…

Cancun, beautiful beaches, awesome resorts and adventure if you want some! (Ruins to explore, scuba, snorkeling)

Also, Cancun is very affordable, and not too far to travel.

I’d say the Ladera hotel in St. Lucia. If you check the amazing view and your own private pool…what else could be better.
