Where can I buy the outside cover for a hot tub?

my friend just gave me their old hot tub and it has a top cover but it has no bottom. The hot tub is basically sitting on its own pipes that are covered in a foam material for insulation. I havent had any luck being able to find a place that sells just the base. Does any body know where I could buy one or who I could call to ask how to get one because I do not want to spend all that extra money on a brand new hot tub just because I cant find a base for a perfectly good hot tub.

If your outside skirting is what you speak of and not the heat shield ( the thing that unfolds over th water to keep it hot). Then you have a couple of solutions I can suggest.
If you want it to look new and realy pretty then you can contact your nearest Beachcomber Hot tubs dealership. They have replacement slats in original red cedar and a cool side called Enviroform.
The second option is to simply buy grooved cedar fencing that interlaces and cut it to size usally 38"
Either way you will need a small nail gun to perform the job correctly.

I have refinished a dozen tubs, it is pretty basic plumbing and electrical
but make sure ther are no cracks or leaks before you start cause you will want to remedy that.

if you need to dont worry to much about the foam you can pull it all out if you have to fix a junction and respray just the outside walls and pipes

You may have to build up a frame I seem to remember there were some that had a drop in style of base that would be tough to do but as long as you keep the siding under the acrylic you should be good
