when i installed my spa tub it was level but for so reason it setled in the mortar and is now off half bubble?


i caulked the bottom of the drain no leak with shower but bad leak when full of bath water

    It settled into the mortar because it wasn’t fully dry when the spa was intalled….it takes at least a full week for mortar to set to a point where it can take larger loads…and just like concrete a full 21 days before it is at the design strength.

    If you had a contractor do the installation, have them come back and redo the installation properly. If it is within a year of the installation they need to do the repair at no cost to you (most states/insurers require this of licensed contractors).

    If you did the installation, then it’s up to you to remedy the situation. If you don’t want to remove the tub and try again you could contact a plumber and see if they can install an offset flange to help correct the angle or possibly modify the drain to slip into the pipe below without it angling with the tub

    call the person who installed it & tell them to come back & fix it now even if it costs b/c if water keeps leaking thenthat could casue mold which coudl cause a whole lot more money to get the whole tub taken out & your whole walls 7 floors taken donw & redone if the mold spreads!
