What to bring to a spa, and what do you actually do?

I got a gift certificate to the JW Marriot Spa (Aquae Sulis) in Las Vegas for Christmas. YAY!
but ive never been to a spa before
what to you bring with you to a spa?
do you need a bathing suit, cause of like the pools and stuff?
do i just wear like my bra and panties when i get a massage? i don't mind being naked on top
I know it is like a day spa thing, but do i go enjoy the pools and stuff after my massage or before?
Should i bring a friend, or go alone?



answer as many questions as you can, or add in your own info about spas. I've just never been to a spa, so i don't know what to do. THANKS

    bring a bathing suit if they have a pool or sauna, that you can use after and or before. they will provide towels
    Usually you cant not bring a friend unless they are getting a service too. bring one if you can you can make a day out of it.
    Its ok to wear just panties for the massage, really what ever your comfortable with. Make sure to let them know if you want a male or female to do your massage. You want to be comfortable so you can relax.

    DONT drink alcohol 24 hrs before or after, but DO drinks lots of water

    That’s a nice gift! Take a swimsuit just in case. I just showed up, they drew me a bath with candles and gave me towels and a robe. Then I went in and they give you private time to disrobe and get under the sheet. Then just relax. I actually fell asleep and woke up to having my hands dipped in paraffin and my feet being scrubbed. Then they leave so you can get dressed and then I got green tea in the front office before leaving. It was quite nice.
