What roles do dogs play in the hollywood scene? Are they treated right by celeberties?

Is it right for celebrities to pamper dogs by taking them to spas or provide expensive treatments? Is it right to use them as a fashion accessories and be shown in the red carpet? Can that cause the dog to lose control or have psychological problems? How should dogs really be treated?

I don't think doggy spas really do any harm.

As far as lugging the dogs around in their purses and such….well, I think it's weird and just a bit sad. As to whether or not it will make the dog have psychological problems, that's probably dependent on the dog itself. I don't think it would make an otherwise healthy dog insane, but a dog with existing problems could be made worse by that kind of thing.

I really think dogs should be treated like dogs. They don't understand being pampered because….well, they're dogs. But I can't complain….at least celebrities are caring for their pets. They're well fed, housed, and loved. I think it's more important to worry about and be angry at those who mistreat their animals in the worst ways; starvation, inadequate shelter, physical abuse, and abandonment.

It's too bad that Hollywood has now decided to treat dogs as strangely as they do people. At least they are warm and fed ……………… I suppose ………………………..

I know most of the time dogs just want to be around the people they love.. so why can't the toy versions be carried around? Who's to say they love it or hate it? They are cared for and loved.. and they better be since their owners are in the spotlight. Most are very lucky to have such adoring and wealthy owners. We should be worrying about the heartless, abusive owners..

I'm not sure if it's alright to have them taken to a spa, as far as
fashion accessories I think that's gone too far. Dogs are loyal and affectionate companions. not lucky charms. They should be treated humanely but not as a human. I heard that Toto from The Wizard of Oz got more money than the actors that played the munchkins.

They treat their animals very well, and they are very attached
to them. Celebrities are just like any other dog owner/lover.
Have you ever thought about the dog actors? Some dogs
belong on the red carpet–Benji, Beethoven, Lassie, Rin Tin Tin, ect. A dog can be oversensitive, react to mistreatment,
and react to good treatment. A well know singing artists
ex wife had 2 or 3 kids and a German Shepard. (She is well known also) This dog, after hearing an argument over something with the ex wife shaking a charge in the air, started
hiding her charge card. He'd take it from her purse, put it in
one of the kids rooms, go to the hamper, and cover it with
a pile of dirty laundry. Personality plus, I guess he didn't like arguments, and thought by hiding the charge card he was
keeping the peace in the house. Dogs should be treated with affection, with training as a companion.

Absolutely not! Many well loved and well treated dogs sometimes have terrible separation anxiety if they are not with their master. Most of these people love their pets! And it is a choice "LOVE ME LOVE MY DOG!"I do not treat my dogs as "Dogs" I treat them like my children.I pity the fool that owns a dog that treats it like a "Dog"They are special ,loyal companions that are always there no mater what. They Deserve the best .If a person can't give them their best then they should find someone who will.
