Have you ever worked for the Marriott Hotel?

What was your position, did you enjoy it?

What was the experience like with the Marriott and would you recommened it?

I am currently working in an office doing web design and getting paid at £6.50 an hour which in my opinion is extremely low wages considering my graphic skills and the stress I have to undergo to deal with the coding – being a novice and all.

I can no longer bare working here and have to move on. I am considering the Marriott because it’s litereally next door to me and has all the facilities I would benefit from (e.g. a gym, pool, spa, etc) which I am currently missing out on now. I get no daily excersize which is one thing that is starting to depress me for someone that was previously very active and fit. The only vacancy available at the Marriott is a food and beverages service vacancy which I don’t know what it is but it sounds a whole lot easier than web design and coding for the price of £6.50 – Why not go for the easier job? Why should I be getting it hard when people are getting it easy for the same damn pay? I feel awful.

So, any feedback on the Marriott would really help before I ditch this cursed job for them.

My husband and I were going to have a friend of mine and her son move in and pay rent. We were asking that she pay 0 a month with no security deposit. This would include full use of the house and living areas, pool, spa , BBQ, patio, laundry as well as include the utilities. Electric, 2 central A/C units, swamp cooler, Cable TV, FIOS Internet service, gas, water, trash and phone. We have also offered storage in our garage for her things, offered to help her get a moving truck and assist with taking her son to school and picking him up so she would not be so limited in the jobs she can take.

We are not letting her bring her kitten as my sister in law, brother in law, niece and nephew are highly allergic and they would no longer be able to come vist. Also the fact that she has said many times that this cat sprays the walls.

So she has told me that we are being unreasonable and unfair.

Are we asking too much?
We offered to take her son to school cause he would be going to the same school as my daughter and my job is already flexable for me, also this would help her to not have to pay child care so she could get back on her feet.

I have also broken down the cost of everything including the mortgage payment, property taxes and all the monthly bills that pertain to the home.

This is kind of long but I really need a quick answer please.
Moved into home with old pool and equipment. We filled in the very bottom of the attatched spa with sand, gravel and cement so now it is a little wading area for the kids. Plastering guys said we did a great job and then they got to work. To save money on labor, husband labeled and cut the equipment pipes (at about 1.5 feet off the ground) so everything was clean for the pool plumbing guy (diff. from plastering co.) to put in our new equipment. After being asked once by me and once by plaster guy to pressure test our pipes, he says no, not needed. After re-plastering and filling up our pool Saturday night, turned on pump and filter and within 1 minute a big underwater pop and the middle of our spa cracked where we filled it in. Come to find out the guy plumbed the filter and pump backwards so the skimmer is pushing out water, not bringing it in…therefore, forcing air/water through the drain in the spa causing it to crack the cement at top. Called the guy, he is going to come fix the plumbing but no apology cause he says my husband had labeled the pipes and that is what he went by…so basically it’s our fault. Shouldn’t he have pressure tested the pipes or dumped water down them to make sure where the pipes led to? I told him about our spa and he just said, "oh that is no good."
Do I have all rights to say it was his fault the spa cracked and he needs to take responsibility?

I sent a resume and cover letter to an address that was listed on craigslist for a store manager posistion at a salon/spa. The listing did not name the business. When I google search the address, no business listing pops up for it. When I google salon in petaluma, I find nothing with that address.

I also noticed that they have had the same listing up for over 1 month.

Do you think this could be a scam? Why would they want to waste my time and get my work info?
I didn’t give my personal info, thankfully! I am going to drive by today….I was thinking that maybe this is the owners office for another job or something?

I know craigslist can be shady, but I’ve had success finding jobs and all kinds of things using it sooo…I take my chances

The job posting says, "Please, no phone calls about this job" but I would prefer to address my cover letter to the person who does the hiring. It’s a small spa so there is no information on the internet about who would be hiring-there’s no HR department or anything. Would it be okay to call and ask for the name of the person or would that be considered a phone call about the job?

AT our COMMUNITY swimming pool (meaning a private pool to be used only by those living in our subdivision or guests), we have a list of pool rules. Rule #4 states that "Children still in diapers are NOT allowed in pool or spa." Yet, I continue to be baffled by the amount of ignorant, useless, and downright rude people who take their babies wearing diapers into the pool. So that I can swim around in baby feces… I think not! Other pool-goers are just as annoyed about this as I am. A woman was recently confronted about her baby in the pool and she responded by saying "oh, well she has a swimming diaper on". We even reiterated the rule: "Children still in diapers are NOT allowed in pool or spa."
I have called the HOA and they have also said that if any children with ANY type of diaper are found in the pool, the city will close the pool down. Does anyone, by chance, have a Public health book or PC code book for Texas? I would love to have it with me for my next encounter with poopybaby
