Advantages of Owning a Portable Spa

Author: Lesley Lyon

Portable spa means that it is a hot tub which is movable wherever necessary. Instead of going outside for spa leisure, we can have a portable spa at their homes. This helps reduce the time of travel and we can relax or rejuvenate our body and mind in a portable spa privately in our homes. After using a portable spa, it can be dismantled easily and stored separately which depends upon the make. Portable hot tubs offer a peaceful and pester free spa experience without disturbing the individual's privacy.

The portable spa works with a thermostatically controlled heater, self filtration system and turbo wave massage action which facilitate and give a comfort feeling to the body and mind like an olden days hot tub. In case of shifting to a new home, it is very convenient to shift the portable hot tub also. The necessary items for the portable spa are a space, water and electricity. It can be fitted in a place inside the home, shed, garage, terrace, backyard etc. The main advantage of portable hot tub is the steam, helps in relaxing and gives relief from stress which gives a better overall health.

The infrared portable spa sends the heat rays into the skin upto one to two inches, where the therapeutic effect helps in healing by different ways. It helps in healing arthritis, sports injuries, strains, sprains etc. The heat ray which passes into the body is beneficial for human bodies as it helps in blood circulation also. Through increase in blood circulation it will give good nutrients to the skin, which will in turn help in healthy tone, texture and mild cleansing of the skin. Infrared Spa helps in reduction of weight also, as the body sweats out fat and loses weight just like diet or exercise. Regular use of it helps to burn calories. Portable spa helps to save energy and they come in different styles and specifications.

Usage of portable spa is very easy and the steps are as follows :

Fill water in the portable tub.

Warm up the tub with an electric heater and it takes normally an hour.

The hot tub is ready for bathing.

Take a fresh shower before entering into the tub.

Maintaining a portable tubs in past was very tough and hectic, but nowadays it is very easy, simple and time consumed is also minimum. It is very much essential to keep the tub clean and sanitized and to use fresh water which is important for the body health condition. Before going in for a purchase of portable spa take into account the maintenance options or else go in for a company which offers regular maintenance schedule, which will save time and provide less work and the individual can relax and enjoy his time peacefully.

Best day spa in Orange County?
Though this should be obvious to those clued in enough to provide a decent answer, a "day spa" is full service with: robes, pools / baths, steam room, snacks, etc.

By "day spa," I also mean a spa you can access WITHOUT having to purchase a service.

I assume that those who would answer this question have had birthday celebrations, bridal showers, etc, that would qualify for experience. So I would appreciate your honest reviews.

And I would also assume that those who enjoy leisure travel or other expensive purchases have at least had some local spa experience and will not find my question "indulgent." This is, quite frankly, a normal inquiry.

Please assume that I have done adequate research on Google and am not an idiot.

----------

Please recommend to me a lovely day spa in Orange County or San Diego that offers access without having to book a treatment, massage, etc.

How much is entry and what sort of perks do you get once inside? Basically, what should I expect for the price I pay?

I'm looking for something that is uber plush inside and a-list quality. For example, Qua Spa in Las Vegas was spectacular, for entry. Something similar in quality is what I am looking for.

Pictures, personal details, extra perks or quirks, etc, are necessary to be of decent help. Thank you.

The Evolution of the Salon and Spa Industry

Author: Steve Tanner

With the explosion of the multi-billion dollar beauty industry there seems to be a trend developing. Businesses are starting to blur the lines between a salon and spa. What once was only available in a salon is starting to appear in spas all over the world. Businesses who once specialized, now find themselves offering a wide array of beauty services giving the consumer a one stop beauty experience.

Some of the beauty product retailers have full hair salons and nail salons inside their stores. I'm sure it won't be long before they start to add the spa services as well. It reminds me a lot of what happened in the automotive maintenance industry. Automotive repair and service are now being offering at previously exclusive oil change and tire service centers. The margins on oil changes and tires are so low that in order to create a viable business, these shops have to generate additional revenue for their sheer survival. And what more logical way than to offer a complete auto repair service lineup.

The beauty industry is following along the same lines. Simple nail salons have started to realize that as both the cost of living and the cost of running a business go up they need more revenue. The logical choice is to expand in other areas of the beauty industry. These businesses have eliminated the distinction between a salon and spa. Spas today offer traditional salon service and salons have added traditional spa services. Soon we will have mega-beauty complexes where you can get your hair, nails, massages, facials, makeup, tanning, waxing and any other beauty service you can think of. I'm not sure the drive-thru beauty salon is something that we'll see but I think we'll get close!

Most of the small salon and spa owners are reluctant owners at best. They are the individuals who perform the actual services and consist of hairdressers, nail techs, masseuses etc. They would rather just do what they do and not have to worry about the details and headaches of running a business. It is a mindset thing. The problem is that they don't want to give up the freedom that being your own boss yields. I see a niche developing in salon and spa businesses. If they can have their freedom but not have to worry about the business aspects, they will be very happy. These mega-beauty complexes will start to fill that void and provide these individual proprietors a sense of relief. They will be able to be a part of a business and not be "the" business. Obviously they will have to give up a little income in order to give up the headaches of owning your own business, but I think a lot of people will consider that a small price to pay.

Salon and spa owners across the county are starting to get an idea of how they want their businesses to be structured. They are combining their services with other salons and spas to create the synergies that larger complexes already enjoy. The next logical step for these businesses is to move into larger facilities in order to incorporate all of the additional services.

When you go for a massage with a RMT (Registered Massage Therapist) is a tip expected? The massages are for pain in my back and I have a prescription from my family doctor.

I have my massages expensed through work however they do not cover the tip - only the amount of the massage. Is there an expectation from RMT's to provide a tip for the massage service?

I rationalize it that I do not tip my chiropractor, or any other health professionals however when I pay for my massages there is a tip option via Debit or Credit Card.

I believe the difference is that I go to a "Day Spa" type of facility where they offer other aesthetic and beauty services and maybe the tip is more expected for those treatments as the employees would be paid less for their time.

Could anyone help me out here who has experience with this?

Thanks!

You know everyone is telling me to travel out to see them but i just got the notion now that for upwards of 0, couldn't i find a nice local day spa in my area and get a complete transformation that would really lift my spirits? I mean i am a frazzle ragg a muffin right now. My hair is all washed out after 4 years of being sick and my now coming out of it. My skin is pale, i am trying to detox off all those meds and i am in a new town and wanting to stay put and really get to know this area. I feel as if running all around to other States and people's homes is only a hindrance and me getting my hair fixed, ( constant die jobs), up is like a cheap cover up and will do nothing for long term.

My husband will be returning from Iraq in June and i want to be glowing. As it is i have lost close to 30 pounds since he left. I need to be healthy not barely standing up.

I live right next to Virginia Beach. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am in a slump.

What Is A Day Spa

By Chris Powell

A day spa is a great place where you can take the time to go and pamper yourself. These establishments can be found all over the country and can offer many benefits to the user. Many of these places offer a wide variety of treatments and relief from the everyday stresses of life. They have a wide variety of things that are designed to make you feel special and pampered in getting you to that level of peace and happiness that you desire to make your body feel good and relieved. These day spas are located all over the place and some of them will have different themes and styles associated with them. Some of them will even be attached to a hotel or resort in order for you to fully appreciate all that they have to offer in an effort to give you a true feeling of relaxation and enjoyment.

Some of the benefits that are associated with a day spa are the various relaxation techniques that are implored. One of the primary methods that are used by many day spas is that of the massage. The spas will provide their own massage therapists which will in many cases be able to give you the massage that you desire in an effort to relieve the stress that you have brought with you to the spa. You can receive a Swedish massage, deep tissue massage or even a head massage to relieve some of your tension. Many spas will also have a sauna which will help you to flush away the impurities that you have in your system as well as providing you with the relief of the heat and relaxation that is provided by the sauna. There is also the whirlpool which may be available which will give you the effect of an underwater massage to make you feel better and less stressed. There are many other techniques and variables that may be available depending on the type of day spa that you are looking to go to and what the benefits of that day spa will bring to you.

There are many different types of spas that are available and able to be used and it is up to you to decide which is the most beneficial for your needs. Many of these spas can be found online for you to research and discover. Look into them see what they have to offer and provide so you can make a better informed decision to treat yourself or to provide a treatment for someone. There are many resources available to help you to determine the best spas out there and finding out how well they treat their guests. You just need to be willing to look and research so you are able to meet your goals and needs in stress relief and tension alleviation. Just be careful in what you choose and make sure it is what you want to do and a reliable establishment so as to be able to meet all of your needs.

I want to open a day spa, I have this great space, it is huge and there is plenty of room to put a play room in for my kids(2 ages 1 and 5) I will probably get someone in to help me out with them too but this will not be a visible part of my spa. My biggest priority has always been to be home with my kids, raise them myself not putting them in daycare. do you think that trying to open and run a business will still allow me to fulfill my highest calling? I am open to all comments and suggestions. thank you

I've been searching all over the internet for a spa that performs Moroccan Baths in the SF Bay Area. This is very big in the middle east, especially in Dubai. So I'm wondering, are Americans just not ready for this type of intense treatment? Are they too fussy? Is that why they don't have this here? Let me know what you think. Or if you know of a spa, would love to hear about it.

So what is a Moroccan bath?
It’s an intense cleansing and exfoliating, which takes one-and-a-half-hours to complete. In fact, the briefest part of this treatment is the little briefs you are given to wear – so perhaps it’s not the most ideal treatment for the more prudish among us. The deep cleansing begins using traditional Moroccan Black cleansing soap, which quickly penetrates the skin breaking up any dead skin cells that accumulate on our bodies over time.
