The lights on my Maxxus Sundance Spa stopped working. What can I do to try to fix it myself?
I have a Maxxus Sundance Spa that is just over one year old (the warranty is void b/c I bought it from the previous owner who owned the house I purchased). Recently, the lights inside the Spa quite working. I don’t think the lights burned out b/c there is more than one light and none of them work. There are lights under the water and lights near the water fall, neither work now. They have been working fine since I’ve had the Spa (which is a year) but last week they wouldn’t turn on when I pushed the main button.

The problem actually started two weeks ago. The spa has two points where you can turn the lights on. About two weeks ago the main button to turn on the light quit working, but the auxiliary button on the other side of the tub did work. Then, a few days later both both buttons worked again. Now, neither button works.

I’ve checked the owners manual and it doesn’t say anything about troubleshooting the lights.

Is there anything I can do before I call a repair person?

Why is my Sundance Spa pump not working?
I have a Sundance Spa (Altamar 850 Series) The display says the water temperature is 115, actually it is 85, the display is flashing OH I know this means Heater is deactivated by the overheat protection, does this mean the temperature sensor is bad?

  4. Jonathan says:

the temperature of the heater may be that hot due to inadequate flow….sometimes the flow switch does not work probably and allows the heater to heat without adequate flow

  5. Scott M says:

If the pump is running properly then most likely it’s a bad temp senor. Other possibility would be a bad circuit board.

  6. JD says:

my sundance maxxus spa displays OH which means overheating but my spa water temp is 78 degrees why is this can
my sundance spa displays OH which means overheating but my water temp is78 degrees can someone tell me what’s wrong. thanks

Do you mean the water jets or the air jets?

Can you tell if electricity is present? Do lights or other electrical accessories operate?

If so, one of the pump circuit breakers may have tripped. Look inside the mechanical bay and identify the water pump (has water pipes going in and out adjacent to a filter) and the blower, which has smaller air lines. There are several kinds of breaker and might be built into the motor, or in an adjacent panel.

The jets on my Sundance spa suddenly stopped working?
All of a sudden the jets don’t work on low or high, nor does the whirlpool. I turned off the electricity, turned it back on and still no action from the jets. I’ve cleaned the filter, looked for clogs somewhere and can’t find anything wrong. Did the jets just give out after 10 years? Thanks for your help.

  9. Brian W says:

Sundance spa there is no display and the tub light flickers?
I have checked the breaker and the voltage and they are okay. Where do I start and what are my options? Thanks

  10. Dan the car man says:

I would check the connection @ the display and also ask the question in the correct catagory
