How do I wire up my new aquaflow 2-speed spa motor.?
I just purchased a new aquaflow 2-speed spa motor. Unfortunately I did not pay attention when I took the old motor off as to which wire is for low speed and which is for high speed. The motor has terminals ground, line, high speed, and low speed. I know that green goes to ground and white goes to line (Common). What I don’t know is which wire goes where for low and high speed (Red and Black Wires), or if it matters.

  2. John himself says:

It doesn’t matter. Red on one and black on the other.

  3. Frank says:

how to hook up a 230 volt pool and spa motor?
There are 2 yellow wires coming from the panel. I have two yellow wires coming from the motor. Do I connect both wires from the motor to one yellow wire coming from the panel?

  4. Jonathan says:

you should also check with voltmeter-often the previous installer does not use proper wire code (wire other than green for ground, etc) more tips here: http://www.swimming-pool-information.com/swimming-pool-pumps-and-motors.html

  6. Sandy says:

Our spa motor runs continuously until the water is fully heated, in order to circulate the heat. Also, the motor comes on periodically to filter it. Wait until tomorrow and see if it is still on continuously, it may not be a problem.
