Red/Burnt Upper Lip from at home Waxing?

Hi There,

So yesterday I used an at home waxing kit for my upper lip. It's only the second time and I usually get it done at a spa. I have sensitive skin so it always gets red after I wax it but dies down by the end of the day.

There's one patch on my lip (on the end) that is still red and feels like I have a small burn. I put vasaline all over the upper lip last night to sooth the redness but this area is still red and hurts a bit.

Is there anything that I can do to ease the redness and burnt feeling.

Also, would it be okay to put a little bit of cover up on it? (Ironically, I have to go out very soon).

Thank you!

I get this sometimes, its usually where some of the skin has been pulled away from the waxing and also the sensitive skin doesnt help. its best just to let it heel down by itself as some creams can make it worse. i use baby lotion to help reduce the burnt feeling and yes it would be fine to put some cover up over it :)
good luck and hope the redness reduces soon. x
