Really Baggy Eyes, Ever so Slight Redness and Dark shadows?

I have awfully baggy eyes and my eyelids and below my eyebrows are all reddish and the bags under my eyes are dark and disgusting. I hav to wear foundation and eyeshadow every single day just to cover the redness and shadows but that doesnt even cover the bagginess.

It could be genetic because my mum has baggy eyes she's old and I've seen photos of her at my age and she didnt then.

I really hate having to spend so long each morning putting on make up and so I was wondering what I could do about this?? Even when I wash my face with chilled water in the morning it does nothing.

I don't want to have to go to a spa or anywhere and I'd rather not have to get any expensive products. Does that cold spoon thing work??

HELP PLEASE!! This makes me so insecure, I'm only 14 and I hate having to wear makeup. Some people have no problem with it but for some reason it makes me fell fake, like I'm lying to people when I wear it.
I've had this all my life its only now that Im in my teens that I've become self conscious about it

OK, so first of all, you’re a teenager, and therefore, keep in mind that you will feel self-conscious about something else, as soon as this crisis is over. It’s just a fact of life for teens. Learning to keep calm in the face of self-consciousness is more important than the current crisis. So learn some yoga or meditate or join the choir. Do something to help you relax for brief periods.

Second, nobody is lying just because they’re wearing makeup. Even the First Lady – every single one of them – wears makeup. They’re not lying are they? Makeup is part of a healthy grooming routine for all females if they choose to do it. It means you care about your looks and you value yourself. There’s nothing wrong with it.

If you want to wear less makeup, then great, that’s your choice to make because it’s your body. You can do it whether or not you have bags or darkness under your eyes. Take a look at yourself in a full length mirror and you’ll see how hard it is to notice that tiny part of your eyes that looks baggy to you right now.

Since it sounds like your eyes may be developing a mature and serious character (which is not ugly, but different from most teens) before their time, you can do two things to minimize it:

    1. Use caffeine (topical) to minimize the bagginess.
    2. Use Vitamin K cream and/or vegetable sources of Vitamin K to minimize the darkness.

You can get cheap Vitamin K cream in any pharmacy, or you can get liquid vitamin K in a health food store, but it will be more pricey. Or you can mash up a vegetable with lots of Vitamin K in it – such as Cabbage – and use its juice directly on the skin of your eyes.

Caffeine containing creams are pricey, so the cheapest way to do this is to get some caffeine pills and cut them into quarters, then mash 1/4 of a pill four times a week in a tiny bit of water and blot it onto the skin around your eyes, where it’s baggy. DO NOT drink coffee for this, it doesn’t work.

These two things really work, so if they don’t have much effect on you, it means your eyes are NOT dark or baggy, and you’re imagining it. That’s a good thing because it means you don’t have anything to worry about and you can just forget about it.

Finally, if you’re being teased by your classmates about how you look, please tell a counselor, your parents, several teachers, etc, etc… and keep telling until somebody does something you find helpful.

for the puffy eyes you can use a dab of hemroid cream (i know..sounds gross). but it works. the color issues…im not sure. maybe your low on iron. ask your doc about iron pills and vitamins.

cold spoon will work very good

Soak cotton balls in cucumber juice or slice a fresh cucumber and apply them to your eyes. Leave them on for 15 minutes for a relaxing treatment that helps reduce dark eye circles.

    or

Apply peeled and grated raw potato to your eyes at least three times per week. Leave the potatoes on your eyes overnight if possible.
