		<description>The indicators for pH and chlorine levels are dyes that are relatively resistant to oxidation, but that doesn&#039;t mean that an extremely high chlorine level won&#039;t bleach them.  The slippery feel you mention sounds like what a high pH does to the oil in your skin by turning it into soap.</description>

		<description>Looks like you have turned your water into hydrochloric acid.  

You might try adding soda ash to a test bucket of water, to see if that works; but I am thinking you need lots.  

You might talk to someone at the pool chemicals store.</description>
