My parents found a large mound of dirt, about honestly 3 feet high in there back yard behind a fence.?

This was found by their spa heater and filter stuff. This is the second time something like this has been found. What the heck is causing this? I just dont get it ! The other time a mound like this was found it was in the corner of their yard. This is not on the grass or in any shrubbery. Help...
