jacuzzi filter question?

Jacuzzi heater and piping is all brand new, works fine all the time, this time i tried to use it, it worked fine, the water got too low i think in the spa so it just stopped filtering all together but the heater and filtering system was still on and working, just not getting to the spa. i filled it back up, flipped on the switch to get the water filtering and have the heated water going into it, but now i turn the switch on the system is working (heater unit and piping), but the water isnt getting to the spa at all, but it still sucks the water in from the spa (when the the switch is on). how do i get it to work like a spa again? all that happened was that the water level was too low then it basically shut off the water supply to the spa, but the heater unit and water switch was still on. thanks in advance.

it sounds like you have a pool and spa spillover combination. if this is correct then you have a valve in the wrong position. it will probably be the valve after the last component, usually the chlorinator. You have to follow the flow of water from the pump, through the filter, through the heater, through the chlorinator, and then to the valve that is wrong position.

If there is no water in the spa now, and the pump is running water through it, then the chances are that the vale that is before the pump is in the wrong position also.

play with the valves so that you are sucking water only from the drain in the spa, and you are only returning water into the spa. put your hand on the pool returns to see if water is going back to the pool.

From your question it sounds as if you might need to "prime" your water pump.Give a call to the place where you purchased your jacuzzi and they will be able to direct you! NEVER let the water level get that low to stave off this problem in the future.Wish I had a jacuzzi!!!
