If you have genital herpes can a Brazillian Wax bring on an outbreak?

There are home kits as well as spas that do Brazillian waxes. I never have had one done and I don't know if they use harsh chemicals. I have herpes and wonder if this will cause more problems. Any other girls out there with herpes ever had this done? If so did it make any difference with the herpe condition?

    I get cold sores and waxing around my mouth doesn’t bring out the cold sores…so, I wouldn’t suspect it would for someone with herpes either. Try waxing a little portion and see how it takes and how it feels first. I think you will be fine.

    ewwwwww……just ewwwwwwww. If you do it, please do it at home. I’ll bet that can be spread to other people through the equipment or the pot or the table. ewwwwwwwwwww

    (I don’t think I’ll have have a wax job done professionally again….you’ve just completely creeped me out.)

    No, the only thing that brings on an outbreak is stress.

    well i hav hav the sam thing. I am a victim of the clap and will be dead in 2 weeks
    i am also HIV postive
    so i think u hav it WAY better off the me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    oh.. and i get my waxes in antartica
    i ve been raped mulitple times…and dont hav the money to but a rape whistle.

    so please listen to my advice and g2 the dollar store and buy a 99 cent whistle

    A wax will not bring out an outbreak they just use wax. There are a lot of factors that bring out an outbreak stress and your general health have a lot to do with it. If you have a strong immune system it seems to help out with the outbreaks so exercise and eat right . If you do happen to have an outbreak or the most minimal amount of shedding skin from a recent outbreak the virus can be spread through the stick they use to spread the wax but a clean place should know better than to use unsanitary devices. So no a wax will not bring out an outbreak unless you are super nervous about it and you stress yourself out!!!!!

    It could. It depends on the person.

    I have personally had genital herpes for 6+ years now. I get an outbreak literally a day after I get into a jacuzzi. For some reason, unknown to me, I get outbreaks after being in a jacuzzi. Since I have learned that, I’ve learned to avoid going into a jacuzzi.

    Everyone is different and everyone with genital herpes has different outbreak triggers.

    I would say give it a try and if you do get an outbreak from it then you’ll know to never do it again unless you want to deal with the outbreak later. Good luck!
