I put WAY to much chlorine in my spa, any ideas on how to fix this problem?

I'm not an idiot I know I can empty and refill it. That's not an option, It's inside my house. Neither is leaving the cover off, I have to live in this house and the fumes are STRONG. I accidently dropped the WHOLE can of granulated chlorine in and I'm at a loss as to what's the best way to deal with this situation. Any USEFULL answers are welcome. Thanks

You might be able to nuetralize a good portion of it by using Hyrodgen Peroxide. Be aware though, that if the fumes are strong now, you will need to make sure you can vent the room really well while doing this.

You can either go to the store and buy a bunch of bottles of the stuff, or you can check at a spa store, and see if they have any industrial strength or other chemicals to do the same thing. The stuff in the store is a fairly low concentration, so it may take quite a bit to work fully. The spa stores really will be your best bet.

    EDIT:

Sodium Sulfite is another chemical that should work…..spa store once again.

the only thing that can remove that much chlorine is a charcoal filter for the air.. a big one in your case and they don’t make them that big. i use to take care of the pool at work a big Olympic pool and if you did’nt wear a mask the smell would floor you and maybe kill you. open the windows and dump the pool and fill it again keep doing it untill you get the right amount of chlorine in the pool. get some air yourself kiddo
