i have a tub with spa jets in it.?

when i do wash it appears a bad odor comes from the tub. last year I replaced the septic lines and added a pump to the septic tank. is it just the jet and the motor in the tubs that needs cleaning or what could it be.

I have a big corner triangle shaped spa tub. I looked up my tub online and found care directions for it. I love to bathe, so I use my tub pretty often, and the manufacturer suggests filling the tub with hot water deep enough to cover the jets-use some cold water if you need to to get them all the way covered. Add 6 cups of household bleach and 1/2 cup of LIQUID dishwasher detergent. Run the spa for 15 minutes, drain it. Then fill the tub with cold water and run the jets for another 15 minutes. Drain the tub and splash water around it to make sure you have rinsed all the bleach away. I try to do this once a month. Your tub may be larger or smaller than mine, so you might have to use more or less bleach and detergent. There are also commercial spa cleaners available. Good Luck!

How often do you use it? I rarely used mine, but I’d run water into it once in awhile to keep the trap from drying out. Sometimes I would fill it all the way and run the jets with a little shampoo in the water to clean out the jets.

    Good luck.
