I can't decide which Las Vegas to stay in?

I am thinking of either staying in Mandalay Bay 600 Spa Suite or the Bellagio Partial Lakeview? Which do you think is better and why?
And I was wondering is the Spa Tower in the Bellagio renovated, because I heard that parts of Bellagio hotel was renovated, if not, what part of the hotel was renovated?

For me teh Bellagio is stil the best resort on the Strip it has everything class, luxury, decent pools, good food great show, best feature (fountains) and probably the best location in the whole of las Vegas. With the slump rooms there can be had from $96 per night less than a Howard Johnson in most other cities. The spa tower has the newer rooms and they are slightly bigger than the main tower but the fountain view is partial but does have a good view of the Strip, the "moutain view" looks straight over the I15. http://vegasuncovered.wordpress.com/2008/10/11/bellagio-queen-of-the-las-vegas-strip/

Dont get me wrong Mandalay Bay is lovely resort best pool in Vegas but the location is just that little bit out of the way for me. http://vegasuncovered.wordpress.com/2008/06/23/mandalay-bay-las-vegas-my-review/

The Bellagio has the best location on the strip. Mandalay Bay is the last property on the south end of the strip and if you planned on traveling the strip you will have to do a lot of traveling just to get there. If you are going to enjoy the property for the most part then Madalay Bay would be the better choice. You have to figure what you want out of it.

Bellagio is in a great location on the strip, and has the famous Bellagio fountains. If you could get a room with a fountain view, that would be great. It is one of the best in Vegas.

Mandalay Bay is very nice, and on the south part of the strip. Even so, it is not far from the action. If you take the free tram over to Excalibur, you are right across the street from MGM Grand, which is about a 10-15 minute walk to Bellagio, with a lot of stuff to see along the way. They have the best pool, The Beach, with real sand, a lazy river and a wave pool.

It is definitely a tough choice, but I would go with whichever one is less expensive so you will have more to spend on other things such as shopping, gambling, attractions, drinks, etc.

The Venetian / Palazzo is hands down the best. I’ve stayed @ both Mandalay & Bellagio several times over the years and since MGM took over, there service levels have decreased significantly. I like to play at several casino’s and one night while on my way to the Wynn, I stopped in the Palazzo and met a Casino Host named Rob Sheiner who persuaded me to staying @ the Venetian / Palazzo and the service was fantastic, the location was perfect, the staff was very outgoing and courteous, the suites blow away the MB & Bellagio but most important… I had a great time. Needless to say i never made it to the Wynn! Best travel decision I ever made… Thanks Rob!!!
