How much should I budget for pool service in the Houston area?

I'm buying a house with a pool/spa, and won't have the knowledge or time to maintain it myself. How much does pool service cost on average? Does the price include chemicals, or does the homeowner have to supply chemicals? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

Leyla’s about right. $30-35 a week. They vacuum, skim and replenish chemicals.
Once a year filter cleaning costs extra.

You can also have a pool maintains 101 type class from most companies for $100. They show you how to do everything.
Then you do your own regular maintenance and supply your own chemicals. Buy in bulk from mail order and price is much lower.
You can save a lot on that also by switching to a copper/silver ionizer with a once a week minor chlorination. Much nicer to swim in, doesn’t dry out your skin and no algae problems.

monthly service for pool is $120-$150 included chemicals.
