How can I get the chlorine out of the air?

Our hotel pool room has a huge amount of what i guess is chlorine in the air, to the point of stinging your eyes when you walk in. there is a pool, hot tub/spa, and sauna. it started right after we got a new spa pump, and the timer doesnt work so it constantly is bubbling. im thinking that may be the problem, just vapors out the wazoo. any ideas or similar goings on that anyone could help me out with?

Your pool probably needs to be break point chlorinated. If you or your pool manager don't know what that means you need to take the Certified Pool Operators Course from the National Pool Foundation.

Properly maintained pools don't smell like chlorine (too much). What you're smelling is chloramines – the byproduct created after chlorine is used. When the level of combined chlorine raises, so does the smell of chlorine in the pool area. You may also want to check your ventilation system to ensure proper flow rate and cleanliness.

Chlorine is not used in pools

what is accually used is chlorine ions

regular chlorine would be poisonous to humans

what you can do to eleviate your problem without doing the expensive breakpoint chlorination and the expensive classes, is to vent the pool area after fixing the timer if you cannot vent it i would suggest opening a door and looking into a ventilation system

Gentle absolutely responded correctly. It's refreshing to see a good answer on Yahoo. If there is damaged or faulty equipment you need to contact the Manger on duty and it needs to be fixed immediately.
