Hot Tub Repairs

Author: Synapse India

Hot tub repair is necessary irrespective of the condition of hot tub, hot pool or spa. It is important to note that regular maintenance of tubs will definitely reduce the needs for repairs and you can save your money if something does go wrong. Another way to avoid any heavy repair is to notice a problem in the tub in its initial level. Early detection of the problem can easily eliminate the risk of losing money at a large extent.

There are times when you feel the need of a hot tub repair. People can themselves do effective repairs if they possess some mechanical knowledge otherwise hiring the professional can be the best alternative.

Things need to do for Manual Hot Tub Repairs:

Choose a good quality fiberglass repair kit in case your tub develops any kinds of breaks or cracks. This easy kit can be conveniently available in most home stores or auto repair shops. However, it is important to drain the tub perfectly and clean the entire tub surface usually consisting oils, dirt and waxes. Do not forget to give a full drying time to get the best tub for soothing bath.

Detect Problems Early To Avoid Worse:

When a hot tub is not producing any kind of sound or light, it is the time for getting hot tub repair. Check if the fuse is on the line or not. Newly installed units will probably have a breaker. In case the breaker is not flipped to the off position, chances are that you may need to check the input wiring and the high limit switch.

If the blower of the hot tub is not responding properly, you may need to check the blower motor or the blower air switch thoroughly. It is very important to take in notice that in tubs electricity is installed very near to the water which may pose a serious danger if done inaccurately.

    Hi

We have had a hot tub for 7 years now in our garden and we use every single day. We bought a Catalina which is an American make and I can confirm that the mechanics are very robust we have never had anything go wrong the outer shell is of very hard wearing wood for all weathers – all we have had to do is enjoy and check chemicals and buy a new filter every year.

We always empty every 3 months to keep clean and fresh.

This has been the best purchase we have made.

Oh Catalina might be slightly more expensive but well worth it – should be able to pick up a four seater for around £5k – remember to think about where you will have it as the electrics will have to come from the fuse box.

    Enjoy

can the seller increase the price without banks knowledge in a short sale to cover a lien?
We are the buyers in a short sale. The sellers agent said the bank wanted $15k more than our offer. The sellers said they would pay $12K if we would pay $3k, in order to close before the end of 2010. We agreed and went through the loan process again since our bank couldn’t close in the sellers time frame. The closing date was changed 4 times because the sellers wouldn’t leave. We finally signed all of the closing papers. We’ve been told we cannot move into this house due to a lien. the lien is with the same bank as the original mortgage. It is not attached to the property and did not show up during the title search. The paperwork is off by $3000. There is nothing to show where the extra money is going. I think they lied when they said the bank wanted more money. I don’t think I should pay more to cover their lien if the bank agreed to our offer. I have no way of knowing. Our realtor, lender, and title company have never seen anything like this. They’ve also tried to sell us the hot tub that was listed on the MLS and in the property disclosure. It wasn’t included or excluded on the contract. They did leave with the washer and dryer that was included on the contract. Their agent refused to get it back and offered us $200 to get another set. Then he offered us a rusted out set at one of his rental properties. Since then, the sellers have continued to go to the property and take things from the yard. What are my rights? Does this sound nuts or am I just crazy?
It is now up to the sellers bank. They hold the mortgage and the lien that isn’t attached to the property. The sellers realtor told us they have other property that isn’t worth as much and the bank doesn’t want to attach this $100K lien to property only worth $40K. I thought that was highly inappropriate of the sellers realtor and unethical to tell us the details. All of the money is in escrow until this is cleared up. We don’t have a clue how long it will take. I understand that I agreed to the extra $3000, even if under false pretenses. We didn’t get a credit for the hot tub, they haven’t replaced the washer and dryer, and it wasn’t professionally cleaned per the contract. We’ve been told to stop moving until this is cleared up. We changed the locks and had utilities turned on. when we signed the closing papers. The sellers have taken things out of the yard and left messages with the neighbors to get things they left in the garage. We want to live there and don’t want to

  4. Lisa L says:

You signed all the closing papers? Do you own the property? Who has your money? If you bought Owner’s Title Insurance they should be working this problem out. This should have never closed with an outstanding lien. That is what title searches are all about. Run if you can.

Your mistake is giving the “drive by appraisal” credibility. Only a true examination will give you a reliable number. Updates can easily overcome a $10,000 difference. But if they don’t, the seller has to meet the appraised value price or your lender won’t fund your loan.

Appraisal is Lower than asking Price?
We are in the process of buying a home. The appraiser did a “drive by appraisal” and appraised the hosue 10,000 less then the asking price.
They are going back to look at the inside since there is extensive updates, and all appliances are included in sale including hot tub.

Do you think the major updates and other things will up the value signifigently or not?
Do you think with such a small difference of 10,000 with potential to be even less that the seller will come down on their price?

We’re so nervous and anxious! We really don’t want to lose this house, but do not have the extra money to pay the difference!

Health Club Contract nightmare. Can I cancel?
I joined my health club one year ago with the promise by my sales manager the hot tub would be fixed within 2 weeks. Obe the past yr the staff always say “we are looking into it”. After one year of waiting, the women’s hot tub is still not fixed. This is a benefit I truly need as part of being in a health club. My contract is 3 yrs, does this give me a right to stop paying my payments? The Sales Managers will not call me back.
