Costa Del Sol Hot Tubs - Buying & Selecting

Author: John Lewis

If one is looking for a Marbella Hot Tub in Spain perhaps, you are thinking of placing one either on a terrace or indeed a roof terrace or in the Garden but where ever you decide there is a very wide choice to consider.

Originally Hot Tubs which were very popular in Japan were made hundreds of years ago and were circular in shape and constructed from wood not unlike very large beer barrels. Today it is possible to get modern acrylic Hot Tubs in that shape also. These circular Hot Tubs provide a great depth Tub with plenty of Jets and a very effective Hydro massage effect.

However, it also possible to get a very similar effect from a modern cedar Hot Tub one that is made from real natural Canadian Cedar. Circular Hot tubs that are made either out of Acrylic or out of Cedar are great for family and friends to get together.

The clever combination of warm water with, buoyancy and massage Jets goes a long way to provide a pleasant relaxing sensation that is not only able to bring some relief to muscles & joints but also provides relaxation to the mind, body and spirit.

The latest designed Hot Tubs have an increased number of more powerful jets strategically placed for maximum benefit; these Jets offer supreme therapeutic support in a carefree setting.

The effect of the semi buoyancy with the warm water helps to gently raise blood flow and aid circulation. This allows nature to reduce strain and soreness, and at the same time helps to relieve pressure and tension throughout your body.

This scientifically calculated buoyancy (and the directly related feeling of weightlessness) helps to blends perfectly with the swirling warm water to deliver a relaxing hydrotherapy with healing properties. In fact, you will feel much better in just 10 minutes.

Hydrotherapy & Hydro massage does help in many ways to improve ones health and well-being. Not only do the warm waters help to simply melt away tension and strain, they also provide a gentle and effective massage - which targets ones joints and muscles, promoting a much better night's sleep and at the same time combating the pain of arthritis and other muscle-related injuries.

Safe, enjoyable and very beneficial for the whole family, hydrotherapy and the health benefits of a Hot Tub will help everyone enjoy a much more active lifestyle. Modern Hot Tubs originate back in time just over half a century ago, (1954) when the Jacuzzi brothers invented a portable whirlpool pump (simply as I understand it because one of their relatives had arthritis) and from there on in the Hot Tub Industry has not looked back.

When buying a Jacuzzi Style Hot Tub you should follow a few simple ideas:-

If the tub is plastic, make sure that the shell is made from proper Lucite not just a Lucite inspired shell.

If the Tub is constructed of wood then you want to make sure it is made from Canadian Cedar.

You should look for an American or Western Manufacturer who has many years of experience and can offer proper warranties and guarantees.

Lastly I would suggest that you should look for Balboa controls who are acknowledged as one of the industries leaders in the field of Hot Tub controls.

You need to replace your temp. sensor. Easily done…you can do it yourself. Be sure to turn the power off first of course. then just unplug it and then plug the new one in. Make sure you do not get your board wet!!! Reading that your heater has been replaced…did you also replace the Hi limit at the same time I hope? Most heater come with it already on but a lot of service people will take it off and then sell it back to you. It’s not uncommon to have a bad sensor. IF you plug the new one in and it’s not it then it is your board but do not fret! Balboa will repair it for 125.00. If you run into any problems or questions feel free to email.

    hot tub sensor readings?
My hot tub controls are acting up says OH even though it has new cold water after changing the heater element.
    Balboa controls DU 260E
Ohm readings on the main sensor are about 83 Kohm, the High limit sensor about 63 Kohm, water temprature about 40 degrees f

are these sensors out of range or is my board shot

Why does my hot water divert to the tub?
I have a 3 handle tub control, with a flow shut-off behind the shower head. When I shut off the flow of water to soap and wash myself, the hot water comes trickling out the faucet and the cold water comes trickling out of the shower head. Then I have to turn on the flow control again and wait until the water mixes again to rinse off. Why?

60 amp 220v circuit on hot tub wont flip on.?
I get the feed from my main breaker outside, then to a smaller breaker panel by the hot tub. As soon as power is applied to the small breaker the GFCI in that panel trips…. Today I took all 4 wires from the GFCI to the hot tub out of the hot tub control box and capped them.. Then turned power back on and the breaker tripped again.. Could the breaker be bad?? How would I test for that.. The wire is all run in conduit from the panel to the hot tub. Worked fine til I drained and refilled the tub last week. Thanks
Ok, so I went back and removed the 4 wires that go into the control panel…. White wire did go to ground, the others stayed at infinity. So I went to the breaker box and removed the green and white wires and tested. They tested fine with no shorts.. So I tested the breaker itself from where the white wire was to ground and it showed a short… So does that mean that the GFCI breaker is bad?? Or should I test something more?

Without knowing the specific brand and model of your equipment, only a general answer is possible. The most likely cause is worn or deteriorated seals or o-rings. It’s possible that you could rebuild the control valve, but with the time and expense of removal and reinstallation, you should consider replacement with a new unit.

  8. BPTDVG says:

You need to take an ohm reading from each wire to ground.
You will need to have the breaker off (no problem since it’s tripped), and put your meter on the highest resistance scale, if it’s not automatic, like you’d see with a Fluke 77 or 87.
Any resistance reading less that 100K should be considered a ground. You probably got some water in one of the connections. There may be a loose conduit connection, that allowed some water in.

How to add car/marine stereo to a hot tub?
I have an old hot tub, but have put a new electronic control circuit in. This has an audio power out interface at 120V. I know I need a transformer for the 120v to 12v step. But what and where do I get these transformers? I just want to throw an old car CD stereo in first. What size transformer would I need?

  10. TNA says:

not sure about what size transformer you would need.
but as for the stereo, check out momo for waterproof spearkers, my friend has them in his boat
