Have you ever had a massage at a chiropractor clinic?

Is it any different from a regular massage? I just found out my insurance covers chiropractor visits so I thought this would be a great way to get free massages. I'm just wondering if it's the same thing as a massage at a spa. Am I still obligated to tip if it's at a chiropractor clinic?

Thanks

In order for a massage to be ‘covered’ by insurance the Chiro must submit a dianostic code that validates the use of therapeutic massage in his/her treatment of your condition. Therapeutic massage services will be oriented to the reason you are seeking Chiropractic care. The massage will not be the type given at a Spa nor do you tip…this is a medical visit. Seldom if ever will you be able to have a 60 minute massage in your Chiro’s office. Insurance pays for 15 min increments of care and insurance guidelines demand (for payment) that no more than two CPT’s (current Procedural therapies) codes be submitted for a treatment. BTW..there is no such thing as a ‘free’ service paid by your insurance company…someone is paying…either you or your employer.
