For those who own an indoor swimming pool?

I am curious to know if those who have an indoor pool:
1) use it as often, or not as often as they expected
2) regret installing it (due to lack of use, or expense of maintenance)
3) have it heated or not heated
4) would prefer having an outdoor pool, or perhaps a spa
5) have (or would like to have) other accessories that make a pool more enjoyable (ex. water slide, volleyball net, resistance swimming jets etc).
6) Anything else about your pool owning experience that you would like to share.

Please do not answer if you just have an outdoor pool or just a spa, I am only interested in those that have an indoor pool. Thank you for your time

I have friends that have an indoor pool. They never use it! It is not heated so no one goes in it in the winter and everyone wants to be in the sun during the summer.
    PS-
I have an outdoor pool and everyone uses the spa more often.
The spa is used year around and the pool is only used during the summer.

I do not own an indoor Swimming pool, But i feel i can probably answer parts of your question somewhat as i work as a Swimming pool Service Technician.

Going by the numbers you asked.

#2. Maintenance on an indoor pool can be troublesome. you have an indoor bathtub for all intensive purposes that holds many thousands of gallons of water. Should something happen to the shell of the pool, and a leak should occur, you better hope you get it fixed quick. This could also be equipment failure, with leaky pipes, and filters etc as well as the pool is indoors, So is the equipment.

#6. improper chemical balance can lead to your house, or Pool area being saturated with chloramines. Ever been to a hotel or any other indoor pool <ymca etc> and you smell that instantaneous smell of chlorine? Those are chloramines. Is that something that you really want to have in your house?
