I'm needing to switch out a 240 volt relay. Right now it has a DPST ( double pole, single throw ) relay...can I switch it out with a DPDT ( double pole, double throw ) relay? I know the DPDT is used to reverse power to motor....but if I didn't hook up the wires to reverse points...wouldn't it just shut off?

This relay goes to spa motor as well as the heater.
