What level developer do I use for medium ash brown dye??
I may try using Wella or another professional color in a Medium Ash Brown with either a nuetral or blue base. What level developer should I use with that color??

My natural hair color is a medium brown. I've dyed my hair for year's usually using a semi-permanent color (Loreal Color Spa). It works pretty well, but as you know doesn't last and doesn't cover the gray's too well. I tried a permanent ash toned brown last time I dyed (Garnier) and it pulled so much red up that I had to re-dye with the Color Spa. It covered the brassiness, but because I used that permanent dye, eveytime my semi-permanent color fades the brassiness comes back through.

I have maybe @ 15% gray's (not many). I am really trying to even out the color and tone down the brassiness and get back, or closer to, my natural color.
