Jacuzzi is a brand name of a hot tub. Since they were one of the first and biggest manufactures and they were so big a lot of people mistakenly call all hot tubs Jacuzzi’s.

For about five years (’95-00) Hot tub manufactures started using the word "Spa" until the beauty/massage industry started using it. Then all hot tub manufactures went back to using the words Hot Tub.
