Spa Chemicals Archives

should i go w/ cosmetology or esthetics school if I want to specialize in skincare and hair extensions only?

I live in Texas, and I want to open a spa and specialize in microdermabrasion, facials, waxing, and chemical peels. I also want to specialize in doing hair extensions (apply, style extension, etc.). Im not interested in nails, or doing perms, coloring, cutting hair, etc., just in doing hair extensions. So far, I know you have to be a licensed cosmetologist to do hair extensions. So which should I go with Cosmetology or Esthetics? Which will you earn more in ?

Is it finally mission accomplished in Iraq?

Big Oil Back To Iraq?

http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/06/24/business/econwatch/entry5109976.shtml

Iraq finally forced to surrender its oil sovereignty to trans-national corporations.

Do you think maybe this will result in a meaningful troop withdrawal?

The article:

"Thirty five companies are qualified to bid on foreign oil contracts with Iraq starting next week, the Wall Street Journal reports. The government decided to auction off foreign oil contracts in an attempt to boost up its war torn economy.

The auction is taking place for the first time since Iraq nationalized its oil industry more than 30 years ago. Among top potential bidders are Exxon Mobil Corp., Royal Dutch Shell PLC, Italy’s Eni SpA, Russia’s Lukoil and China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. If all goes according to plan, the new contracts with foreign companies will help Iraq to stabilize six developed fields which have suffered because of the war.

Oil Minister Hussain al-Shahristani has expressed his commitment to staying on the deal despite lawmakers’ concerns of legality of the contracts – believed by the parliament to have highly favorable terms for the foreign companies.

According to Wall Street Journal, the oil deal could be key to stablizing Iraq’s economy and to its proposed plans to boost oil output from the current 2.4 million barrels a day to 4 million. The companies themselves, are also reported as being eager to receive the contracts due to Iraq’s relativly unexplored reservoirs, with some considering the nation as the most important opening of petrolium fields in years. Only about 20 out of the known 80 oil fields have been developed.

Al-Shahristani has stated that the companies with the lowest rates and highest potential profit for Iraq will receive the contracts, according to the article.

Approximately 120 companies were interested in bidding. The contracts will last 20 years and the winning companies will begin work in November."

How can I make 2 pound polyurethane urethane foam?

I just bought a hot tub/spa. It doesn’t have a cover and I don’t have 0-380 to shell out for one. That’s more than I paid for the spa! I have some industrial marine vinyl and the machine to sew it. I was looking at the 2 part kits that you pour and even those are expensive. Why can’t I just buy the chemicals and mix them myself? It doesn’t have to be as precise as the Coast Guard compliant since it won’t be holding up a marine craft. I just need something that’ll keep the heat in without mildewing and this the stuff they’re made of.Anybody know what chemicals and how much to mix in order to replicate these two part kits? Please, don’t be stupid and give me useless answers like "Google it.". Nobody likes that. Otherwise, thanks!!!
That is very helpful, thank you. I’ll keep trying ebay but so far, everything I’ve found on there is more expensive than the pour it yourself kits.

Pool chemicals and Spa chemicals difference?

Our pool chemical for shocking is calcium hypochlorite. Our spa chemical for shocking is lithium hypochlorite. The calcium hypochlorite is a lot cheaper than the lithium hypochlorite. Is it safe to use the calcium hypochlorite in the spa?

Does this mean the Iraq War will end now?

Has the mission finally been accomplished?

Can you get a chemical peel???

even though you’ve got acne??? im using proactiv right now but i’m going to a spa to get a "salicylic acid peel" do you think thats going to help me even when i got "live" acne!!

tell m some non chemical cleanser for face?

or a nonchemical economic spa located in mumbai

Will non-chlorinated "shock" kill germs in a hot tub if the bromine was minimal to start with?

I bought a used hot tub from my neighbor and filled it up last week. She said it had an automatic bromine dispenser called a "frog" that would bring the chemical mix up to normal in a few days.

It’s 5 days later and tests as having very, very minimal bromine. I’d like to use it, so I put in a half a cup (per the directions) of non-chlorine shock. Specifically, it is potassium peroxymonosulfate.

Supposedly, I can use the spa within 15 minutes after adding it, but that’s for safety’s sake. What I want to know is, am I risking getting some kind of infection by taking a hot soak in this thing if I got in it tonight? Or, should I just go ahead and put in a full ‘recipe’ of bromine chemical mix so that I can use it tomorrow? I can do that regardless of course, but I’d like to take a soak tonight if possible. It’s a beautiful evening, I have the time, and it’s been a long week.

Anybody have any ideas on this? I’ve swam and fished some nasty rivers, but still…
Well, never mind. It’s been half an hour, so I used a test strip. I guess there was PLENTY of bromine because whereas before it tested as none, now it’s a square past optimal on the test strip. The other readings are fine too. Guess I’ll have myself a nice hot soak on a cool spring night. Thanks if anyone answers.

Looking for Customer Email Program with Scheduling?

I own a small business that sells hot tubs & hot tub chemicals to customers. I am looking for an email program that can email my customers when it is time to change their filters, time to drain thair spa, etc.

For example, if a customer, Jane buys a hot tub from us in November I would like the program to email her every 3 Months and tell her it’s time to drain her spa. I would also like it to email her every November to remind her to come buy a new hot tub filter.

Any suggestions???

Thanks!
