anything similar but considerably less expensive.
i don’t want to miss any shots, i don’t want to be like oh man why didn’t i think of that when it’s over, we are having a destination wedding, but one of our friends is a photography major so she is taking pictures for us for free,
so i started a list, do you have any other suggestions? thank you
My List
1-getting my hair & make-up done
2-dress shopping
3-getting my nails done
4-accessory shopping
5-spa day
6-getting dressed
thank you
spa day and nails is more of me in front of the business for scrapbooking purposes, not her taking pic of me getting a massage, etc
I'm trying to find something in real wood or bamboo, preferably of "green" construction, that isn't cheesy. Most of the stuff I have seen has "asian" writing or bamboo leaves stamped all over it. I want something of more of a "spa" feeling. Hopefully the set would come with some sort of countertop organizer to hide my bottles and lotions.
I'm writing a research paper on the impact & effects of metrosexuality in American Metropolitan culture. One of the ideas is to look at how the metrosexual male impacts women and women view them.
Some of the questions to consider in your answers:
> Would you date a metrosexual male?
> Why would (or wouldn't) you date/marry a metrosexual?
> What traits do (or doesn't) appeal to you about metrosexuals?
> Are you (or would you be) friends with metrosexuals?
> Is there anything that bothers you about metrosexuals?
> Do you think being metrosexual makes a man less masculine?
Some traits of metrosexuals:
- Heterosexual (has no problems with gay friends)
- Indulges in feminine-style vanity (ie: Salons instead of barbers, Spas, checking mirrors)
- Do/Pay anything for the current & best quality (ie: higher than average cost hair care, clothing, accessories)
- Disregards many traditional gender boundaries
Famous Metrosexuals:
+ David Beckham
+ Dominic Monaghan
+ Mike Greenberg
+ Ryan Seacrest
In order for the information that comes from this website to be included in my paper, it needs to be posted by Friday, August 10th, 2007.
The paper will sent in by that evening, but I'll keep the question open because it is a very interesting topic with no right or wrong answer.
Please try to be as grammatically correct as you can. Thank you so much for your cooperation.
Just for clarity: No, I wasn't procrastinating. The idea of using Yahoo Answers just came to me a tonight as a great place to survey the general (electronic) public lol.
Please do not cite sources and surveys you cannot link me to.
I need your own personal opinions, Thank you!
NB: METROSEXUALS DO NOT QUESTION THEIR HETEROSEXUALITY. They are secure in their straightness (so to speak), not questioning if they are bisexual or homosexual. This statement is in no offense to people that are learning more about themselves, their orientation and their personal feelings. For the sake of the survey, I had to clarify this.
At my school, our prom tickets are per person.
Throw in a dress, shoes, hair, accessories, and other odds and end, it brings the price to well over 0… and that is doing it cheaply.
I know people renting limos, going to the cities to eat at restaurants costing a plate, and dishing out the dough for a super fancy spa day.
So, really, what is the big deal about prom?
It's not going to be the first or last formal event one will be allowed to attend in their life.
It just seems that people hype way to much about the whole prom thing.
Can someone explain why prom is such a big deal?
My {almost} 13 year old cousin is like my younger sister, and I want to do something somewhat extravagent for her Christmas present. My mother doesn't want me to, and is using the "I already bought for them" excuse. Is there any way I can persuade her to let me go through with my plan?
I'm going to give her a large bag of some sort, and just let her go wild. I'd have sorted shirts, accessories, and cosmetics in different boxes. However in her bag I'd include a Happy Bunny's "Love Bites" book, to remind her guys aren't as great as they seem and an eyeshadow pallette. Probably candy of some sort, too.
It's not like all of the stuff will be brand new. I'll put alot of my old clothes [which she gets, anyway] in one box and shirts that are "rejects" or shirts I bought on my trip in another box. Then the next day {or sometime after} we'll be having a spa day, and she'll get most of the pampering. ![]()
We'll all be in the same car when going over to her house later that day. It would be mighty hard for her to walk out and not have one of our mothers ask what she had this time.
I'm fifteen. All my mother can really do is take my phone, allowence… I'm trying to keep her happy- I like my phone.

1) That is the watch I got my fiance (not from amazon obviously) I would like to get him a just a little something else (about 500 dollars) for him for a wedding gift. He likes to golf but I just got him a nice set of clubs for holidays and he already belongs to a golf club and driving range. He likes video game but I got him a PS3 and Xbox 360, games, and accessories through out the year. I am out of ideas. He is a 29 year old pharmacy consultant, Indian by heritage. Any help would be great. Also do you think he will care for the watch?
Ok next, my bridesmaids. I am taking them out Bliss 57 spa before the wedding and I am paying for their hair, make up, and nails/pedicures for the wedding. I got them diamond earrings and matching pendants, also a LV bag for each.
I would like to fill them with something though just so its not like an empty purse thats personal for each of them
First is my MOH, my brothers wife, she is 24 year old accountant for J&J (she is filled with bath and body products because of this), she is kind of a hippie at heart. She doesn't wear make up. This is her bag, so you can work with the size

That is the MOH purse
Tracey to be honest I am not terribly close to any of them but I don't really have any friends and my fiance had three so I needed to match . So just for them to take time out of their lifes and stand for me I feel so lucky that they are that nice so I really want to show my appreciation, not to mention it was left over of my budget.
Its not a load of crap. My family friend works at an LV store so I got them for 300 off, and my family owns jewerly stores in NYC so the jewlery was really inexpensive.
She is very girly.
She loves the color pink.
Her favorite stores are VS Pink, Hollister, Aeropostale, etc.
She also loves walking around the spa accessories isle in Target.
Ok well my mother's turning 42 in about three weeks and I am unsure of what to buy her. Clothes are out of the question and as far as handbags and accessories, she already buys her own and I have already given her some stuff. She buys from designers such as Gucci, Prada, Coach, Fendi, etc. I already have flowers on the list but dont know what else. My father will probably take her to dinner. She mentioned she wanted a spa day and I will probably do that as well but what else would be thoughtful? Also I have started to plan her 50th Birthday Party which is in about 8 years but I already have close to 10k saved and I am planning to have it in a very nice hotel ballroom here in town and have guests fly in from all over the U.S. and it to be a complete surprise! The budget for the party will probably be 50k+ but I do still have time to plan this. I am 18 at the moment so i still have time and my brother and dad will help in when the date gets closer. Is this a good idea?
The theme for the party is Mom: This is your life so its not so gloomy! There will be music and a live band and relatives from her childhood who live in different states. We will have Mariachi and food for 250+ guests. Here day will start with a complete relaxation treatment and hitting the spa and hair salon and being picked up by a limo with my father and it will be planned as a "dinner". Once she arrives she will notice that everyone is there for her! The ballroom at the moment runs close to 25k+ and it might escalate more within the next years and then factor in food, entertaintment, decorations, guest accomadations, transportaion! Whew! Yet she is worth every single penny:] Advice on how to get the most out of my money would be much APPRECIATED!!
Well I have it saved in CDS and from personal savings and gifts throughout the years from relatives. i am going to school right now and tution is paid by my parents so they asked me to save my money. A dream vaction would almost wipe out my current savings! lol. I dont think I will end up saving all the money that I save within the next few years on the party, I might want to save for a house down payment or future expenses like med school.
