The cord we want to replace the original with is the exact same one (guage & amp) as the original and ends in a GFI box/plug. We wanted to replace the cord since we’re not supposed to use an extension cord. Thoughts?

can i use my hayward 1 horsepower pool pump/filter with my softub?
softub is a soft sided "hot tub" but the motor is on the outside, free standing like a pools. It is 1 horsepower, I just want to keep the water moving while my motor is being repaired.

my softub motor died. While waiting for repair, can i use my pool hayward 1 horsepower pump to circulate the hot tub water?

I've have a Softub hot tub & I keep getting folliculitis only on my arms, not on the rest of my body. I've emptied the hot tub 3 times & "started over" with the chlorine. I've been really on top of adding the chlorine & my test strips are always perfect. PH is perfect, alkalinity is perfect. Someone told me to try bromine instead that maybe I was having a reaction to the chlorine. But if that's the case why is it ONLY my forearms? Weird. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, we just bought a used softub that has a gfci plug. Put it together, filled it up (no leaks), plugged it in & have a power light on the gfci, but no power at the pump or control panel. It's an older model that only has the 3 lights – 1 each for jets, heating, & power.

Troubleshooting guide says for the gfci to work right, the outlet must be wired correctly… but I get a light on the gfci plug – does that mean it's ok?

I'm thinking if it's not the wiring at the gfci plug, then it has to be in the pump assembly itself.

Anyone else run across this problem before or are there typical issues with the softubs?

as far as wiring – all softubs run off a standard 15a circuit – normal grounded plug in. therefore, no need for special wiring.

regarding the grounding, it was too late by the time I asked, I will get a electrical outlet checker tomorrow.

I just bought a used softub and it was working fine for about 2 weeks. All of a sudden the pump shut off on its own, however the power lights stay on on both the contro panel and the gfci plug. I can get to come on by continuing to push on the reset button and usually after several attempts the pump will come back on….. It will continue to run for about 5 minutes and then it will shut back off… I have it ran to its own breaker… Anyone know what might be causing this?

I was wondering if there was a way to tell what year my softub is. I would like to know if it has an ozinator. It has 3 pipes coming from the motor unit. It has a black dial to control heat (not digital) and the air control is on the motor unit. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Looking to make a home made lid – or purchase a cheap/used lid. Have looked on ebay with no luck.
I need a new lid, not simply a cover. A lid consists of styrofoam approxiamtely 6 inches thick.
