liquid chlorine is fine, but it too has a high pH. Trichlor (comes in tablet form) has a low pH and may be helpful to counteract the well water, but has strong fumes. Lithium is more pH neutral, as is Dichlor – but more expensive.

Bromine is a good sanitizer if you desire less fumes (strong odor). It is best used indoors or under a cover since it is quickly degraded by sunlight. It has a higher pH also. Excellent for covered spas.

It is always good to drain and refill the spa if used often.

Why don't you switch to bromine tablets, available at Home Depot?

YES YOU CAN BUT LIQUID CHLORINE MAY INCREASE THE PH GRANULAR MAY BE BETTER

i own a pool company and yes you can use liquid chlorine in hot tub but put in very little at a time raise your chlorine level slowly then when it gets where you want it then use your ph reducer.some people use bromine beacuse they dont like the smell of chlorine.if you can smell chlorine then you have too much in it.if hot tub is heated check chlorine level every day because heat destroys chlorine
