Can i operate my spa in the summer without cover on it?

We have a spa and typically never use it because the hardtop has become so heavy it's just a pain to get off. We know that we will need to buy a new cover for the fall, but here is my question. Can we run the spa over the summer without a cover on? It is under a gazebo on our deck. Any problem with this other than debris getting in which we can get out with our net.

it works better with a cover on it. get underneath the cover after drinking a huge amount of alcohol, and have a friend tape down the cover on all sides

the biggest problem your going to have is the cost of running it without the cover. Your cover is designed to insulate the water so it will heat faster and retain the Heat longer.

With out that cover you are going to be spending a pretty penny keeping that spa up to temp. If it will even do that.
