acne scar removal/chemical peels advice?

i have alot of acne scars from the past 4 years of serious outbreaks. ive tamed the outbreaks to non existant, but the scars remain. thyre so embarrasing and obvious. ive been to a salon spa where ive received 2 chemical peels, one at 20 % and the last at 30%. while i noticed my skin was overall smoother, the scars have not begun to fade at all. please help me. im wondering if i should go higher in the percentage. the esthestican i work with said i can go higher next time. is this a waste of my time? im not looking to completely rid of them, just make them barely noticeable. please help me. oh, i have what you would call a natural tan, im hispanic, if that helps in the chemical peel stuff. please help!

    It takes many (maybe up to 6) chemical peels to see really dramatic results.

    Also, be aware of the type of solution. The percentage essentially means nothing. Chemical peel solutions are buffered meaning that there’s just added things in the solution. And sometimes, chemicals will cancel each other out and so forth. So, after you add everything together, a 30% rating for a solution is really like 10%. They don’t say it’s 10%, because very honestly, there’s 30% of a certain chemical in a solution, however, after adding everything in, it’s only like 10% effective. I’m just giving off numbers. Not knowing exactly what percent it truly is.
    Also, be aware of the type of chemical peel you are getting. You can get a salicylic acid chemical peel, which is done for people who have acne. But salicylic acid is such a large compound that it doesn’t fully get into your pores. Only like half ways. I recommend getting a gylcolic peel. It’s a small compound and can travel further down into your skin and push out more dead cells and so forth.

    I would go to a dermatologist. I was prescribed clindamycin and it lightened my scars dramatically. They’re basically not noticable anymore. The medicine wasn’t prescribed to me to get rid of scars, but it did. So. They’ll definitely have something to help you out.

    You should try a dermatologist. You will get faster, better results. I am an Esthetician as well and the peels are good and you will get results but it may not be as dramatic as you are looking for.
