I recently purchased a used 2003 Cal Spa, Fiesta Atlantis, 450 gallon. Everything looks great and all seems installed properly. When I first started it it was on Economy Heating Mode and heated to 80 degrees and held this temperature. I reset it to standard heat mode and the heater and heater light would not go on. I reset the breaker a couple of times and the heater and light did go on and heated to 100 degrees. I tried to increase the heat to 102 and the heater shut off. The next day the heater light would not go back on even when I would reset the breaker. It is clean and has a new filter. All the jets and the pump seem to be working well. Any advise? Please help. we just bought a house that had a neglected hot tub on site. the water was filthy & ants took up residence. we’ve drained it, and cleaned it (pressure washer). what else do we need to do? do we need to get a hot tub place to come out & clean the pump & lines (it hadn’t been run dirty)? what chemicals do we need & how do we use them? do we go to a hot tub / spa dealer to get answers & other services? or do they not do that?

I am planning on taking my family on a Disney cruise in Oct. I see all the different activities. Do some require an additional charge, i.e. spa treatment. Or, is it all part of the package. They did mention that you can rent scubba gear on the island.

Our cute, innocent, delicate, wonderful, loving little daughter just dumped about a quarter of a box of calgon in the hot tub. The water is blue, and the scent is nice, but OMG!, What should I do? Do I drain the tub? Here in OHIO it’s snowing, draining it would be a pain! (it’s an outdoor tub that we use daily). Suggestions anyone? Drain it or wait it out?

Also how do you alkalinize hot tub water?

I was given a day at the spa for a gift. I am getting a massage, a body scrub and a mud body wrap.
I get massages all the time so I know what to expect there. But never had body treatments. The spa told me that they have a mainly female staff.

So what is the deal with the scrub, you wear underwear or nude like a massage? If nude how are you covered if they scrub you with wet/sandy stuff?

The photo of the mub wrap on there website showed what looked like a nude woman completely covered in a coat of mud from head to foot, do they put the mud "everywere"? How do they get it off you?
